My choreography to 'People Help the People' dance by Birdy.

Seeing as this is our last performance we all wanted to use our strengths within this piece and I thought it would be nice to choreograph a dance that all of us could do at some point in the play. The chosen music was one of Birdy's songs, 'People Help the People' and we decided that this could fit in after we had built the barricade. The lyrics to the song are meaningful and powerful and tells the audience that in situations such as these we should all help each other the best we can and to not show that you're weak but strong.
I really enjoy choreographing, in fact I prefer it to actually performing a dance. Moreover, I wanted the purpose of this dance to show the beginning of all of us becoming as one and accepting that we are going to die eventually but we will die trying.

After researching into the contemporary dances previously, I felt that this really helped me when thinking of movement for this dance and I feel that choreography has improved through devising this piece.
